The milky way or the bloody way

today earthwise kept working on their partition. i was happy to see that they'll have a bit more space than they originally thought so it won't feel claustrophobic in there.

nigel and me worked more on clearing and cleaning the performance studio + pit as the materials had already been delivered but david wasn't there and there was still so much to do.

alex1 came round after some time and worked in the studio (echo). tony also came at some point and was really impressed with the new bit of floor...! he worked on the electrics for earthwise, david and most of the corridor area i guess.

richard and paul appeared on site as well throughout the day and richard continued plastering his wall (nigel also made a start on painting it when he came back from babysitting ian's kids !).

david and i managed to get 2-boards-to-cover-the-pit done (it all takes 3 times the amount of time we calculated) and the whole getting it flush and levelled operation is a bit of a headache i still don't really know how we are going to sort out. we are running out of timber but nice ben will order some more for us and i really do hope that my ears will recover tonight as there was some serious banging down the pit and i wasn't wearing protection for a bit that hurt quite a lot -need to be fresh for tomorrow's and friday's recording session...

at some point i also felt like ringing the company we bought the dance floor from as we didn't even know if the payment had gone through or not (nor when it was going to be delivered) and no one seemed to care much at the other end. some people definitely have milk in their veins instead of blood. but i won't get here into my milky vs bloody theories of personality as what i should really do is get my body inside a hot bath.

the dance floor is on its way. there are a number of things to get ready before next wednesday but as i said, i should have a bath first. the space is looking better and better every day. you should all come and have a look...
