OneWayTheatre Short Films
Thursday 24th of February, OneWayTheatre presents a night @Coachwerks of more than 20 fun and entertaining short films for everyone to enjoy. We will be projecting from a solar powered van onto a 3 metre screen indoors. Doors open at 7.30pm. Screening starts at 8pm.
Drinks and food will be available at the bar.
Recommended donation £1.

It's wet and damp outside as Autumn approaches, but inside it's all lovely with nice food, hot choc and comfy seats. Welcome to this month's cinema lounge!

- a documentary film journey along the trail of the Romany people from North Western India to Spain, with a focus on their music
- a movie about a teenage gypsy boy with telekinetic powers and his journey into manhood, starting in a small village in Yugoslavia and ending in the criminal underworld of Milan
- a short Pasolini classic
Cinema Lounge #3 : August 2010
Ok the lounge cinema #3 brings you three films which reject the Hollywood formula; forget three act structure, how about the figure 8, the tag team and the throw it all up in the air and see how it lands structure.
We show you 2 minutes of each film, read out the worst review we can find on the internet and then it's down to the public vote and possibly a bearded arm wrestle to decide which flcik is gonna hit the screen for keeps.

- Out of a random accident with a fly, a desparate office worker loses grip on reality and the whole rest of humanity.
- Jump into bed with a biopic of France's great, late, sexy muso. I'll be Bonnie, if you will be Clyde, no?
- A young man discovers an ear. Can he convince his girl to find the owner? Laughing gas not provided.

25.02.10 Star & Shadow presents a film night of DIY, amateur/ experimental/ art films!
The Star & Shadow are a volunteer ran cinema based in Newcastle upon Tyne built by volunteers. We are really excited that one of the key members Debbie Bower is coming along to do a residency here and will be programming a night of rare treats of DIY, amateur/ experimental/ art films made by Film Bee (a northeast based film making & film fanatic group), Star and Shadow darkroom and by Star and Shadow Cinema volunteers. From digital to homemade, self processed film footages. Come and be inspired or pick up a camera and bring something along! The second half of this evening will be an open submission to anyone who brings along a film that they have made or have helped make, to be screened. Anything goes - as long as it’s less than 10 minutes long!
Also drop in to help Debs during her residency to participate in writing for her Star & Shadow soap opera, which starting point is a load of dead film directors hanging out at the cinema…
