Yael Karavan Workshop : The World Reflected in a Drop of Water

Workshop 16-17th January 2010
11am-5pm
£40

Performer and author, Yael Karavan explores some of the tools developed in her solo performance process. Drawing on elements of Dance, physical theatre, Butoh and mime, Yael explores some of the key issues for solo and group performance and is offering a palette of tools and possibilities for the performer in his creative process such as ‘presence’, metamorphoses, rhythm, intention, imagery and counterpoint as well as how to relate creatively to material, objects and space. She is exploring gestures that are coming from within the body and thus extracting movements that are beyond form and shape but which contain life and emotion. Yael uses a number of rich approaches to facilitate the imaginative journey for the performers and their audiences.
