The Age of Stupid is the year's highly acclaimed and powerful 'climate
blockbuster' drama-documentary-animation staring Oscar nominated Pete
Postlethwaite. An old man in 2055 looks back at 'archive' footage from
2008 centered around six real life stories and asks: “why didn't we stop
climate change while we had the chance?”
As well as revolutionizing the way independent films are funded and
distributed, the film has influenced thousands to pledge cutting their
carbon emissions over the next next year including Gordon Brown, Tottenham
Hotspur FC and Delia Smith.

When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1990, Cuba's economy went into a
tailspin. With imports of oil cut by more than half – and food by 80
percent – people were desperate. The film documents the success story of
how Cubans tranformed their society from a highly mechanized, industrial
agricultural system to one using organic methods of farming and local,
urban gardens.
Opening with a short history of Peak Oil, a term for the time in our
history when world oil production will reach its all-time peak and begin
to decline forever, the film uses Cuba as an inspiring example of hope for
our future.
