One of Helen Cuinn’s true stories - Looking for Laura Quinn is a live appeal for the girl that even her own mother mistook for Helen herself. Using popular social networking websites as a springboard for this lecture performance, Helen is asking for help as she combs the country, takes trips down memory lane and tries to reconnect to something that probably never existed in the first place…

Katie Keeble Scoop for two

Katie Keeble studied at LCDS and Cal Arts, USA, and works as a freelance dance artist and choreographer, working with Kim Brandstrup, Hubert Essakow, Birch & O'Shea, Jacky Lansley and mentor Rosemary Butcher. Mardyah Tucker studied for her MA in Improvisation and Composition at Brunnel University and works as a freelance Violinist in various improvisation groups in London, as well as performing with London Pro Arte Orchestra, Thames Festival Orchestra, D'Oyly Carte Opera Orchestra, among others.

Hagit Yakira is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher currently working in London. She graduated from the Music and Dance Academy in Israel and the Laban Centre. She is also a qualified Dance Movement Therapist. On February 09, she won the first prize at the Kajaani dance competitiion in Finland.

Nightshift The Betty Coltrane Project

‘Betty is a gin swigging, gun toting serial bigamist whose unlucky husbands all descend on the bar where she works, with very bloody consequences...’
Nightshift is Liz Clarke and Michaela Dunne. They have been collaborating since 2006, creating intimate live installations in non traditional performance spaces. Their work fuses live art and theatre with vaudeville and cabaret forms. This show is the latest incarnation of the Betty Coltrane Project, taking inspiration from Nick Cave & the Bad Seed’s song ‘The Ballad of Robert Moore and Betty Coltrane’.
The audience take a physical journey, steeped in urban legend, implication, personal histories and matrimony. As they bear witness to Betty’s misdemeanours are they hapless bystander, accomplice or victim?

Yael Karavan and Linda Remahl Alongside White

Yael Karavan and Linda Remahl started their artistic collaboration in 2003. Their last work together was the dance theatre performance 'Assemby-Part 1' funded by Sweden and performed in Paris, Gothenburg and London.Yael Karavan's work and training is a mix of physical theatre (DEREVO, Phillipe Gaulier), performance, dance and butoh. (http://www.yaelkaravan.com/). Linda Remahl graduated from London Contemporary Dance School 2002 and is since working as a dancer while developing her own choreographic style.
Our work is exploring the boundaries between dance and performance, reality and dream, abstraction and simplicity with a poetic physical vocabulary.This is a work in progress for our new duet 'Alongside White'. Inspired by parallel pathways, shared thoughts and distant trails.

Dan Watson Semi Detached

Dan is a dancer and performance maker. He has performed with companies such as 5 Men Dancing, Motion Manual (Leeds), Retina Dance and was a core artist with StopGAP Dance Company. He has created a handful of works including Double Booked (StopGAP) and An Untold Amount Of Steps (resolution! and FRESH! 2007).
Semi Detached is a playful and bizarre invitation to join Dan Watson in his lounge for a slightly awkward tea and chat. Using dance, text and video, Dan will try and skirt around ideas of home, memory, Whitney Huston and biscuits. Don't worry, the kettle's on!
Ryuzo Fukuhara Gecko Dance - Dance of Moonlight

Ryuzo Fukuhara is a Japanese Butoh dancer living in Slovenia. He has been dancing and teaching internationally for 20 years. In 2006, this piece was awarded the 2nd prize of solo-dance contest at 11Masdanza - the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Canary Islands, Spain.
The gecko is a common lizard in Asia. They gather around fluorescent lamps at night. They don't move like a paint, they move as lightning. The word gecko sounds the same as "gekko", which means "moonlight" in Japanese.In addition, my original Korean family name is Moon.
In this performance I connect Asia and Europe by diving into my origin, linking these concepts: the gecko, the moonlight and the night.

Touching our bodies is a gesture toward each other and ourselves, each time challenging and perhaps deforming the body politic, questioning the boundaries of what it means to touch and be touched, to live together, to live apart, to belong, to communicate to exclude.
Turning to touch as a political gesture, I intend to define the body politics differently. Touch connects bodies, human bodies, bodies of thought, irregularly. As a political gesture, touch is a declaration toward an other to whom I have decided to expose myself, skin to skin. Performance Artist Martin O'Brien moves and talks his way through a series of actions designed to push his body to the limits at the same time as mapping out the changes in his physical condition.‘Repetitive Strain Syndrome’ is a thoughtful, sometimes challenging and often humorous exploration and revealing of the absurdity, beauty and vulnerability of the human body by exposing it at a moment of extremity, during the act of intense physical activity.

Etta Ermini Dance Theatre Game Spotting

Game Spotting is a 30 minute piece directed by Etta Ermini and performed by two dancers and two actors. This physical theatre piece examines a four-different-species-in-a-cage scenario. The work is based on interviews with people describing traumatic experiences on the underground. The performance is set in a train stuck in a tunnel where four strangers decide to play games to pass time. Eventually, these games get out of hand allowing an opportunity to connect with their more animalistic nature. The characters shift from their generic façade towards an abysmal face-off.

Laura is sitting naked in a deck chair on the moon. Welcome to a very unusual package holiday, where Laura's body has decided to take a break from her exhausting brain. All she wants is to bathe in the light of the earth, and not have too many bright ideas. But the peace of the trip is disturbed by when we discover her mind has stowed away in her suitcase. Join her on a humourous and touching trip that wonders what, exactly, nature intended. Contains stories of nudity, and actual nudity. May also contain pineapple. TASK Solo Improv

We do not know what is going to happen, we know the ingredients; movement, vocalisation, speech and expression but we may not use them all....Some stories, maybe not....
Eva Recacha Story Telling

Eva Recacha studied at LCDS graduating with an MA in Choreography. Her work has been shown at Festivals in Spain such as Dies de Dansa (El Grec) and Lekuz Leku amongst others and she ran Proyecto Babel from 2001 till 2006, collaborating with artists from different disciplines in the making of dance. Eva has danced with Lost Dog and inFlux, and since 2005 dances with Frauke Requardt & Company.
Story Telling is her new work. It is an absurd, nonsensical tale that presents us with the leftovers of a story that was told, forgotten, recovered in part, reinvented for the most part and that shares priority on stage with the performers’ own agendas and stories.Concept: Eva Recacha

The piece is divided into four main sections. Randomly ordered by the computer, each section has assigned a certain kind of environment, which restricts the light to a certain colour and sound and movement to a certain vocabulary and quality.
The performance is created through the interaction between the performer and the computer, which is controlling in real-time sound and lighting. The communication between them happens through sensors allocated inside the space. Through this communication the decisions taken individually will affect the possible future actions taken by the other part.
